Cute Whimsical skirt! She loved it!

I just LOVED this fabric I used for other projects. combined together using strips of fabric, and because I couldn't part with the random scraps...I decided to brighten up Claire's wardrobe. With my surger, this ended up being a 20 minute project...bow included! I placed strips of fabric and staggered them similar to the wooden marble toy I had when I was little! When placing them, make sure they overlap so you will be able to stitch them onto the next strip. I pinned them in place, then began top stitching each strip. Next, I surged around all four edges. Folded down the top 1/2 inch and stitched it in place. Fed the elastic through and cinched the skirt. Pinned the elastic together after it was fed through. Then surged a seam. Last, hemmed it by turning it under 1/4 twice and topstitching.
