So, my 5 year old son wanted bat wings for his birthday. I spent all week making 6 batman/superman capes, but decided I better throw something together! I love symmetry! You can make anything that is symmetrical by folding it over and cutting it out, once you have one side drawn out! I did this project by tracing one side...cutting it out, then sewing felt in the middle between the front and back layers to make it stiff. I sewed elastic in two places on each arm as shown. It was a big hit!!! He eat, sleeps and plays outside in them!
